Tournament Fair Play Policy
Please read the following and ensure you are not the parent, the one we get every year, who fails to adhere to the behaviour expected of role models.
I want to be the person who.....
Respects:
Other players.
Officials.
Managers.
Spectators.
I also want to be the person who…..
Ensures my view and actions are positive, including those to other players, spectators, officials and managers and I will encourage parents, spectators to:
Applaud the opposition and not just my own team.
Avoid coaching children during the game.
Respect the referee’s decision (there will be no cheating - only honest mistakes).
Praise all the children involved in football - not just the more talented ones.
Uphold the game of football and make it enjoyable for everyone.
Finally, it is worth everyone noting that the primary aim of the Wendover Junior Tournament is for children to play competitive and enjoyable football.
The winning may be important but not at the expense of the spirit of the game and especially not at the expenses of our children!
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated.
