A disastrous first half performance saw us 5-0 down at half time which led to a very unhappy manager.
Sure the grass was too long, the pitch too big and the opposition extremely decent but that was the worst 30 minutes in the history of this team with positional indiscipline and personal indiscipline all playing their part.
The second half was much better, there was still the odd moment of indiscipline and we conceded two further goals but we managed to get on the score sheet ourselves and would have scored at least a couple more on grass of a reasonable length.
My message to the team is simple - you are much, much better than what went on on that pitch during this game. You now have a massive game against Bucks CC this weekend. You need to be better and I have every confidence you will be. We have all worked extremely hard over the last four seasons to get where we are today and the first half performance in particular was simply not you.
As I said at the end of the game the challenge is now to keep your heads up, brush yourselves down and get back on the right track. I have every confidence that this is what you will do.
