Following on from last week's victory over Crendon Corinthians the U11s faced an extremely tough encounter against Prestwood Colts.
We started brightly enough with Elliott Behan breaking through and rounding the keeper to score from a wide angle to give us the lead.
Our lead was then doubled when Joshua Harrison was fouled outside of the area by the Prestwood keeper and Charlie Davis stepped to expertly place the resulting free kick in the back of the net.
What then followed was an onslaught from our visitors.
As we managed to stave off wave after wave of attacks Prestwood got the reward their performance deserved to reduce the deficit to 2-1 at half time.
Prestwood started the second half with the same get up and go and got themselves into a 3-2 lead with around fifteen minutes left to play.
This seemed to spur us into life and a determined goal from Joshua Harrison drew us level at 3-3.
Prestwood continued to press and this enabled us to play on the counter attack (something we do exceptionally well) and as a result we added further goals through Andrew Carr and Joshua Harrison to wrap up a victory which looked extremely unlikely for 40 of the 60 minutes played.
They say a sign of a good team is one that can play below standard and still win. In that case today shows we are a good team!
Next up is an away trip to Downley next Sunday before a short break for half term.
