Back to Winning Ways

Following the deluge on Saturday morning at training it was nice to see the return of bright sunshine and blue skies for the short away trip to Crendon Corinthians.

The star of the first half was Joshua Harrison who registered an assertive hat-trick to send us in 3-0 up at half time. He was ably supported in centre midfield by eventual man of the match Harry Grantham whilst Andrew Carr and James Gibson got the opposition on the back foot out wide. Charlie Davis played at the point of the defensive triangle as always and was ably backed up by Jacob Oliver and Igor Chrzanowski whilst Elliott Behan took on the role of lone man upfront.

Having six subs available to us meant that we were able to make regular changes which kept everyone fresh and full of energy.

The second half was a tighter affair as Crendon pulled a goal back before a lofted through ball from Joshua Cotton was latched onto by Elliott Behan to restore the lead to three clear goals.

Kaelin Shaw, Ben Philbey, Nathan Bosworth, Jack Rollins and Nelson Nkanzei were all introduced the game at various points and all contributed massively to another fine team performance as did Oliver Foster in goal with more impressive saves throughout the game.

Our final goal of the game was scored by Harry Grantham who was able to pounce on a rebound following a save from the impressive home goalkeeper before Crendon managed to add to their goal total for the day.
