The U10s second blue division cup group game saw them take on the buddy team of Aylesbury FC and Haddenham Youth at a sun drenched Fairford Leys on Sunday morning.

The squad was split into its usual two teams (with a few slight adjustments to take into account absentees and returning players), one team captained by Andrew C and the other by Kaelin S.

The first game against Haddenham Youth saw a victory for the visitors. We found ourselves two goals down at half time before pulling level through the ever reliable Andrew C and Josh H. Haddenham then regained the lead as the ball squeezed in at the near post from a corner before adding a second as we got caught out chasing the game.

The second game against Haddenham Youth saw us gain our only victory of the day thanks to goals from Kaelin S and Elliott B.

Both games against Aylesbury FC ended in single goal victories for our visitors. The first game saw FC victorious by the odd goal in three with our goal coming from Charlie D whilst the second game saw FC take an early lead and try as they might the boys could not force an equaliser thanks mainly to two exceptional saves from the FC goalkeeper towards the end of the game. These were two keenly contested games between two squads who could be friendly rivals for years to come.

Men of the Match awards were made to Josh H and Elliott B.

Manager Lee commented after the game "I think everyone will be a little disappointed to only get one victory from this morning's game when we secured three victories in the corresponding development fixture earlier in the season. That having been said there are no results in our remaining matches that could take away from the u10s' achievements and progression this season, we have had a fantastic season and both teams will come together to form a fine u11 nine a side squad next season.

We have our final group game next Sunday away versus Wycombe Saints and I hope we can do enough there to secure a place in at least the 5th/6th place play off the weekend after (our final mini conference game of the season) as I do not believe we deserve to be playing for 7th/8th place when taking into account the season as a whole."
