The U10s took on their counterparts from Marlow Royals at the hastily arranged venue of Stoke Mandeville Combined School

Looking to build on the positives of their Blue Division debut against Risborough Rangers a week earlier the squad was once again split into two seven a side teams.

The first team managed by Lee consisted of Ben P and Nathan B (who shared goalkeeping duties in Oliver's absence), Josh H, Josh C, Akeem Z, Elliott B and Andrew C.

The second team managed by Pete (on loan from the U11s for the day) consisted of Toby C, Jack R, George R, Jacob O and the four players who make up the 'rock' of the team in Harry G, Igor C, Charlie D and Kaelin S.

The first set of games saw the boys emerge with one draw and one defeat. The drawn game saw the young ducks fall behind before battling back to force an equaliser through Andrew C.

The second set of games were much happier huting grounds with one team playing an out an entertaining draw having lead up until the last knockings of the game and the other team emerging victorious thanks to goals from Elliott B (2) and Andrew C (2). In the drawn game the goalscorers were Kaelin S (2) and Harry G.

Manager Lee commented on the morning's games - "once again the boys proved they are more than worth their place in the Blue Division with some excellent performances. My team welcomed back Akeem and Nathan who provided the steel to the side that was missing last week and Pete's team showed what character they have in brushing off a disappointing result in their first game to more than match their opposition in their second game. The pleasing thing for me is that in their first two games in the higher division both teams have a virtually identical record which means we have got the balance more or less right although I may consider mixing things up in our next set of games to try out some different player combinations. The first six weeks of the season have gone better than anyone could have expected but will only have been worthwhile if we continue building between now and christmas".

The boys have a two week break from games over half term before returning to action with a derby against Aylesbury FC / Haddenham Youth on Sunday 10th November
