Gavin's Team Report:

Game 1

Harry GK
Rock DEF
Josh MID
Taylor MID
Theo STK

Harry took up between the sticks and played really well. Quick distribution of the ball and being commanding in the box shows how much he enjoys playing there. Pulled off some really good saves to keep it at 2-2. Rock took up his defensive roll and again puts all he has into it. Played the ball out at times but where needed he booted it out. Made some great last ditch tackles at times. Josh played as a 2 in midfield and played very well. Broke up the play in the middle a lot and played balls forward for the others to run on to. Always has his defensive brain on and tracked back well to help out his defence. Taylor took up an attacking midfield roll and played really well. Broke up play well in the centre and made some great runs forward. He wasn't scared to shoot from outside the box and was really unlucky with a free kick at the end which there keeper made a great save. Theo took up striker and played really well. Always looking to make runs forward and linked up really well with the midfield. Even tracked back in defence when it was needed. His hard work paid off with 2 really good goals.

Game 2

Harry GK
Rock DEF
Josh MID
Theo MID
Taylor STK

Harry again took up the position between the sticks. Again bossed his area well and cleared up any mess in the box. Quick distribution of the ball did bring on some counter attacking chances which was good. Again made some good saves as well. Rock took up his defensive roll which again put in a a good shift. Cleared up in the box and made some good tackles late on when fatigue sent in. Always looking for balls which is a good thing to see. Josh took up a midfield roll and played really well. He took his performance from his first game and improved even more. Made some great tackles and even with his confidence growing went on little runs which was lovely to see. His hard work paid off with his 1st ever goal. Theo took up midfield with Josh and again put in a great performance. The boy seems to be everywhere on the pitch and his hard work paid off again scoring 2 goals. His runs forward and tracking back was great to see. Looking around for team players to attack was good to see. Taylor took up the striker position and again put in a good shift. Runs forward and passing was great to see. His confidence grew and grew through the game and that was great to see. His hard work paid off with a goal.

Star Player this week: Theo Tomlinson

In both games the boys played really well. Due to numbers turning up they played both games with no subs so by the end fatigue had kicked in with the playing surface but playing together they rallied and got the results they deserved. Well done boys.

Game 1

Tommy played this game in goal and put in an excellent performance making some brilliant saves and bravely coming off his line to win the ball, he was unlucky not to keep a clean sheet. Olek had a great defensive game putting in hard tackles and owned his area very well and showed good ball control when pushing forward. Shaun showed some good footwork and pressed hard when chasing the ball and put in a superb pass for the first goal. Cameron was quick on his feet and ran for the whole game setting up the second goal and was unlucky not to score himself hitting the woodwork.

Game 2

Shaun started with the gloves and showed impressive distribution leading to some good counter play, in the second half he carried on an impressive midfield presence as in the first game. Cameron continuously ran for his time on the pitch making some important tackles and brilliant runs forward when the team was on the attack. Olek had one of his best attacking performance making good runs down the wing and excellent crossing into the box setting up the first goal and got some shots in too. Tommys improving confidence showed with some excellent footwork and quick thinking caused Chinnor problems and he set up the second goal after a nutmeg and pinpoint through ball.

An excellent performance from all and so happy to see a constant improvement every week, also thanks to Chinnor for lending us players to make up numbers.
