Sunday 29th November had the Colts teams playing away to a buddy team of Penn & Tylers / Widmer End.
Report for all games below.

Gavin’s Team
GAME 1
Harry, Roch, Taylor, Theo, Junaid, Sophie

Great first game with my team. We played 5 a-side and the team worked really well together, looking for passes and making space for each other.
Harry took up the gloves for this game and again had a blinder in goal, He reads the game well and is quick off his line. Made some good saves but sometimes just has to remember to pick the ball up. Roch took up defence and this boy has grown in confidence, His presence on the ball is amazing. He made some great clearances and one goal line clearance. Taylor took up mid and looked right at home, bossed the centre of mid tracking back when needed and playing some great balls forward. His hard work paid off with 3 goals. Theo took up mid too and this lad has grown in confidence. Great little runs and passes, some good skills and again his rewards paid off with 3 goals. Junaid took up striker and this boy has twinkle toes, the ball just sticks to his feet. He was always trying to get in the box and was unlucky not to score. Sophie came on in the second half in defence and was the rock at the back, made some great tackles and some great runs forward. Her reward again was a goal.
The team played so well and deserved this win.

GAME 2
Junaid, Roch, Taylor, Theo, Harry

This game was a little different. The score line didn't account for the team play. Weather conditions worsened and a slight incline and Sophie on the opposition team they where unlucky.

Junaid took the gloves for this game and played really well, made some great saves and distribution of the ball was very good. Roch took up defence and set off like he did in the other game but with more confidence and made some great runs forward, was always there to clean up at the back. Theo again was in mid and his runs were amazing, was unlucky not to score in this game but awareness of the game is amazing. Taylor again was in mid and pushed up front second half to try and get a goal, He played with a lot of passion and had a couple of screamers that went inches wide. Always plays well and is always chasing the opposition. Harry put on his striking boots and from the start was making great little runs, is always chasing back to help out his team and was unlucky not to score, He is always running to make space and played really well.

Great play from the boys and girl. Training is really paying off and you can see that on the pitch. Roll on Sunday.

Steve’s Team
Olek, Josh, Zaid, Max, Cameron, Billy Broomhead, Tommy

GAME 1 vs Widmer End
Max was a good sport and played for Widmer End as their numbers were down and showed he could play well in all positions making some great tackles and a goal line clearance he also showed good vision pushing forward in the second half.
Josh started in goal and put in a good performance, controlling his area well and also making a diving fingertip save to deny the opposition. Olek took the defensive responsibility and did a great job reading the game and breaking up play with some well timed tackles. Zaid and Cameron owned the midfield with some quick footwork and fast runs. Zaid’s confidence is growing which is great to see. Tommy was the striker and made the defence constantly work with some quick feet and fast runs and was unlucky not to score with the ball being saved and cleared off the line more than once. Billy Broomhead came on at half time and carried on Tommy’s dominance up front and after a run down the wing scored an excellent well taken goal and got a second soon after as the team pushed up.

GAME 2 vs Penn & Tylers

Olek took the gloves this time in the first half coming off his line well when needed and his quick distribution led to some good counter attacks. Josh defended brilliantly again and showed good footwork and turns on the ball turning defence into attack. Tommy and Billy Broomhead dominated the midfield putting in some well timed tackles and good forward balls and constantly pushing forward. Cameron moved to strikers position and was being a menace to the defence and unlucky not to score.
In the second half Tommy came in as keeper, was very commanding and showed himself to be a good shot stopper. Cameron dropped into defence and done well continuously running and tackling. Zaid came on for Josh and Max for Olek to move into midfield and they dominated, their continuous pressure paid off after a perfectly timed tackle from Max who then put an awesome through ball to Zaid who put the ball into the top corner for his first goal (more of this please
