Colts Team - Fixture One

As we have had a significant increase in players since the end of last season, we have set up a Colts team to enable all the children to get that all important playing time.

Our first game had us playing another buddy team of Chesham & Risborough at Ashmead School in the Yellow division.

The players for the day were: Taylor, Billy Broomhead, Zaid, Courtney, Harry, Theo, Elliott, Josh, Tommy, Roch, Olek, Robbie, Max & Kai.

Game 1 (Risborough): Elliott took the goalkeeping duties and was immense, some excellent saves and decisions making along with some fine distribution. Billy Broomhead showed some great ability with the ball and had some great runs with the ball, finding the net on one run to great delight to all. Taylor was strong in the tackle, good strength & speed, Harry showed great determination going forward with the ball and came close to scoring. Zaid was immense in the tackle and is another with good control. Theo on his debut showed he is comfortable with the ball with great control and energy carrying the ball at the opposition. Roch showed some great control & speed with the ball. Tommy was very comfortable with the ball and a couple of moments of magic with the ball at his feet. Courtney was strong in the tackle and gives all for the team. Robbie was strong with the ball and good in the tackle, Josh was a rock at the back and showed good strength going forward. Kai showed some good game sense and strength in the tackle with a couple of high light moments with the ball. Olek had lots of energy & strength with the ball and gets up and down at great speed. Max always smiling was up and down the pitch, strong in the tackle and gave everything for the team.

In game 1 we were making substitutions every couple of minutes to make sure all got game time. For the 2nd game we decided to have one team for the 1st half and a separate team for the 2nd half.

Game 2 (Chesham): 1st half team: Olek (GK), Robbie, Kai, Courtney, Tommy, Theo, Billy Broomhead.
Olek was excellent in goal and pulled off some great saves, Billy again was a magician with the ball at his feet with some more excellent runs. Theo grew with confidence and again was very comfortable on the ball with some good energy going forward. Tommy also showed some good ability with the ball and went forward well. Robbie, Courtney & Kai never stopped trying all had some great touches and worked very well with the team.
2nd Half Team: Harry (GK), Josh, Taylor, Elliott, Roch, Zaid, Max.
Harry was in goal for the 2nd half and made a couple of good saves and distributed the ball well. Josh was very strong and played the ball well. Roch was comfortable on the ball and never gave up trying. Elliot was good in the tackle and went forward well. Taylor was strong with the ball and in the tackle and got himself two very good goals. Zaid was once again immense in the tackle and a solid wall at the back. Max was non-stop all half and always tried with the ball at his feet and trying to get the ball back.
These games were played with a great sense of fun and enjoyment by all. The children had smiles on their faces and was the first of many matches they will play together.
